# UpdateAsset

> Rename an asset.

Requests must be signed with HMAC-SHA256. See [Authentication and conventions](https://docs-vip.apigo.ai/en/api-reference/endpoints/seedance/asset-overview.md#authentication).

Only the name can be changed. `URL`, `AssetType` and the owning group are immutable; import a new asset to replace the content.

## Request parameters

**Id** `string` *required*

Asset ID.

**Name** `string`

New name, up to 64 characters. Omit to leave unchanged.

**ProjectName** `string`

Pass `default` or omit.

## Response parameters

**Result.Id** `string`

Asset ID.
