# UpdateAssetGroup

> Update the name or description of an asset group.

Requests must be signed with HMAC-SHA256. See [Authentication and conventions](https://docs-vip.apigo.ai/en/api-reference/endpoints/seedance/asset-overview.md#authentication).

Only the fields you pass are updated; omitted fields keep their current values.

## Request parameters

**Id** `string` *required*

Asset group ID.

**Name** `string`

New name, up to 64 characters.

**Description** `string`

New description, up to 300 characters. Pass `""` to clear it; `null` is the same as omitting it and keeps the current value.

**ProjectName** `string`

Pass `default` or omit.

## Response parameters

**Result.Id** `string`

Asset group ID.
